Certified Nursing Assistant Program (CNA)
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Program Certificate course is a training program designed to prepare students for state certification with the Department of Health Services (DHS). This certificate program will help students develop and strengthen personal qualities that are desired by employers in the medical field: honesty, integrity, pride in personal appearance, and the ability to work as a team player.
Our program consists of theory and lab taught in the
classroom, and clinical practice in a long term care facility. The 55 hours theory instruction uses lectures
in English, videos, written homework, quizzes, and a final exam. In the well equipped lab, skills
demonstration by the instructor and return demonstration by the student
reinforce theory concepts. The 100 hour
clinical allows students to practice giving care in a long-term care facility.
An installment payment plan is available upon request.
Candidate for CNA admission:
Must have a valid California, (USA) ID
and Social Security Number
Must be at least sixteen years old with
guardian’s approval, eighteen without.
Must pass a physical examination to be
performed by his/her physician.
Must complete a live scan.
Must be able to read English at least
at the fifth Grade level
